Ex-Hollyoaks star Barry Sloane (Niall Rafferty) has been cast in a recurring role in the second season of ABC's drama Revenge. He is set to play Ethan a mysterious man who has ties to Emily's (Emily VanKamp) past.
Revenge returns for its second season in the US in September in its new home of Sunday's at 9pm and continues its first season in the UK every Monday night at 9pm on E4.
The TVChoice Awards 2012 nominations have been announced and in the soap catagories Hollyoaks has picked up two. First a Best Actor nomination for Emmett Scanlan (Brendan Brady) and secondly a Best Soap nomination for Hollyoaks.
Voting has opened over on the official TVChoice website and will remain open until midnight on Friday 13th July 2012.

Having both survived Silas Blissett's reign of terror they became close friends until recently when that became strained after Mercedes learned of Lynsey's involvement with Riley. Although she acted fine about it she still held a level of animosity towards Lynsey. The All About Soap Awards were held last night and Hollyoaks was victorious in three of the categories winning, Best Actor for Emmet J. Scanlan (Brendan Brady), Best Episode for Halloween Fright Night and Best Villain went to Jeff Rawle (Silas Blissett).
